Diego is a certified master coach with the Global Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Association experience training in William Cheung-style Wing Chun Kung Fu since 2003. He teaches how to gain mental focus, physical efficiency, and high-stakes decision-making.
His teachers, the late Master Stephen Ruiz and closed-door student Master Phillip Redmond, are masters and direct disciples of Grand Master William Cheuk Hing Cheung.

Master Redmond is one of two closed-door students of Grandmaster William Cheung in the U.S. He has been training in the Martial arts for over 40 years. In addition to Wing Chun, he has studied Hung Ga, Baat Gwa, Bak Mei, Seven-Star Praying Mantis, Vee-Jujitsu, and Aiki-Jujutsu.

Master Redmond is one of two closed-door students of Grandmaster William Cheung in the U.S. He has been training in the Martial arts for over 40 years. In addition to Wing Chun, he has studied Hung Ga, Baat Gwa, Bak Mei, Seven-Star Praying Mantis, Vee-Jujitsu, and Aiki-Jujutsu.
Master Redmond became a Sifu in Grandmaster Cheung’s Traditional Wing Chun system in 1991 and earned his Provisional Master rank in 1994. In 1989, Master Redmond started the Yale University Wing Chun Club, where he worked from 1990 to 1994.

The direct student of Ip Man and eighth in the line of disciples from Wing Chun’s founder Ng Mui, Grandmaster William Cheung has been teaching Wing Chun Kung Fu for 45 years, including to legendary martial artist Bruce Lee who was his childhood friend in Hong Kong.

Cheung was Chief Instructor for the US 7th Fleet in Yokosuka, Japan, and in 2012 was awarded the Distinguished Law Enforcement Community Impact and Life Achievement Award by Chapter 38 of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association in Delaware, USA.
